    Try NetBeans! It is open source and FREE! Moreover it has several pluggins that can be installed to make a user's life easier! It is highly organized and one can work like a professional using it!

    If you want to use a paid software, you may use Dreamweaver or Sublime Text.

    Other software you would find useful are Notepad ++ and frontpage

    To recommend something other than just Notepad++ and Dreamweaver...

    I mainly use PSPad with the Zen Coding plugin.

    I prefer Notepad++ and Dreamweaver but there are also many of available for use such as Komodo Edit. Crimson Edit, Topstyle 4.

    Notepad++ is fine if you want something free. However, adobe dreamweaver is my choice because it has intellisense as you type to offer suggestions and tell you about errors. It also makes it easy to publish changes to your web server.

    you can use Notepad++ v6.4.5(its free) - Current Version,Adobe Dreamweaver cs6,Microsoft web Matrix,Sublime Text 2.Adobe Dreamweaver is an complete webdesigning software .
