https for the whole domain
Hi all-
This might be more of a server admin question, but if I need to use the https protocol for some of my pages, how do I go about getting this to work. From what I understand a certificate needs to be installed, but is there a way that a host can install the certficate such that a user can access any of the pages in that domain using the https protocol? And how do I deny them if they try to access the page just using http? Thanks, infinity003 |

You will need to get with your hosting company on this one (it should be in their FAQ). I've been on servers with a completely separate folder for secure documents, which takes care of preventing users from going w/o b/c it will issue a 404. If it goes in the same folder, you can use mod_rewrite to transfer any non secure requests to the secure equivalent.
