I dont even know what to search for.
I know a little about web Design, But i am really new to it but i am not new to forums and Forum rule number 1 is to search befor you ask any question. Well i am so new i dont even know what to search for, So i am sorry you have to read this, But will people please post me some links to good threads on this board or other boards. I wish to get some good basics down so i will beable to ask good well laid out questions in the furture.

But what i do know is right now i am looking to learn about how to make your own website, and i am not talking about the chessy html sites we have all made i want to beable to make some flashy sites.

I could also use a list of programs (free if you know of good ones) to go along with the list of linked threads. I am sure you all know good threads.

I posted this in the HTML becuase HTML is more basic of the web design.

When you say "flashy" do you literally mean Flash? A graphics intensive web site takes no more knowledge of web technologies than HTML, but requires Photoshop skills and an artistic mind. Flash is an actual program (we have a forum for it) and would require the program to play with and probably a book.

Good website layout is more graphic design than programming. Ideally, some machead will make a pretty template then hand it off to the programmer to mash it together with content data and produce the site. (I'm the programmer in this chain and thus make no apologies for my own ugly websites).
