I need to design a home page "animation (movie)" & second page with music. Programs?
My experience lies with HTML sites. I will describe what I need - I am looking for advice on how to accomplish this: As the page loads, I need a cloud background to "clear" slowly, with a sun coming out from behind the clouds. Once the page is fully loaded, the sun should be shining with one single transparent butterfly floating off the page. On some other page, I will need music to come on once the link is clicked. I am guessing that "Flash" is the program for me - but I am open to suggestions.

Flash would be the best for this. Otherwise, it's DHTML.

flash is not your only option.
but it will be the most universally successful one as far as compatibility is concerned. ...especially for handling the audio page. you dont have to do the entire page in flash. just make part of the page contain a flash movie as needed. similar to adding a jpg image to the web page.
