IMG problems
All of the custom made images for my site are getting dithered for some reason. I make these homemade images in Paint(I know, not that good but I use what I have) and then I copy the image into a program that lets me save the images as jpgs and gifs without massive file size like Paint. The problem is that when I go to test my page, all the images that supposedly have the same background as my site have a lighter background color. Is this a problem anyone knows how to fix?

Surprisingly common problem, what you need is to have the background color of your image set to 'transparent.'
This is not so easy on free software, but probably possible with ImageMagik or the Gimp software for windows (both are free, though IM is command line). You could also get a download demo of paint shop pro and change the backgrounds to transparent, then just keep renewing the trial. |
