Interface design tutorial?
Hi all,
I'm having trouble coming up with a design for my new web site. Where do you all learn to create fresh/cool interfaces? Are there tutorials that teach the basic steps? |

There aren't a whole lot of tutorials, but rather best practices with respect to useability and accessibility.
Some really un-biased and informative articles here (http://useit.mondosearch.com/cgi-bi...d.exe?QUERY=gui) http://www.google.com/search?q=gui+...a-search&num=20 Some more good stuff there, watch out for repeats!

Until you find that special site with the golden answers... there are just a few things to consider about interface design:
1. Photoshop is KING! 2. Decide whether to make the site for 800x600 or higher, if higher then you might as well scale it for any size resolution. 3. It's funny how menus only go on the top, left, or right. 4. color scheme is very important. Check out this site for some quick online help. http://colorschemer.com/online.html 5. Dreamweaver makes it easy to work with your template created from Photoshop or whatever image editor you used.
