java-script, yah or nay?
For years I have been against the use of java-script. While I would love to use it on my own site for dropdown menus I:ve always been hesitant. What do you all think?
Even as I write this, large companies cannot get Java-script to work on all browsers. I:m using Opera 7.2 on Linux and often will have troubles with these dropdown menus. So for usibility reasons are there alternatives?

I like to keep JavaScript use for convenience only. I guess it depends on the audience, number of page hits, etc, etc.
As far as drop down menus ... if you make the text that you onmouseover to show the submenu a link too, it helps the people that are using "non-standard" browsers.
