Hi there, I have a problem with layers. I created a drop downmenu using the show-hide layers behaviour in dreamweaver MX. somehow the layers are not visible if i view the page using opera. ut it looks perfect with IE. what seems to be the problem?
another thing is, when i insert flash into my page, the flash is somehow overlapping the layers of the drop down menu. how can i solve this? thanks |

Is it possible that you have javascript disabled in Opera? That would do it I think.
As for the overlapping. I'm not sure if I've understood correctly (a link would help) but maybe if you played with the z-index in your css (assuming you're using css)... |

i kinda solved the flash problem by inserting it much lower and put text at the top. you can view the site at http://www.pelangimutimedia.com it's my company's website.
somehow the problem with opera is that opera cannot display nested layers (layers within a layer) but it can display only the first layer. i tried playing with the z-index but nothing's changed |

Seriously - I think you have javascript disabled in your Opera.
I've just downloaded and installed Opera and I can see your menu (with the drop-down options) fine. Is it Windows? That's what I have - I don't know if it's different on a Mac... If it's Windows, try pressing F12 in Opera and then check 'enable javascript'. I could be wrong - it wouldn't be a first - but... |
