Listing on search engines and directories...
Hey there,
I'm looking around for some places to get quality links and I figured a great place to start is industry specific directories, etc. I've only been able to find one site so far that is geared towards this type of thing (http://www.the-search-engine-directory.com ). Do any of you have any other sites you'd recommend for this kind of link marketing? I like the idea of being able to get links without having to reciprocate anything. This search-engine-directory site seems to be exactly what I'm looking for but also seems to be a little bit new and underdeveloped, but hey... at least the accept submissions which makes me believe maybe they're trying to gear it as sort of a community project or something. Any ideas where I can find some more sites like these?

Depending on your site quality you might apply for awards from rated and recognized award programs. Their branding in the search engines will help if your site is awarded.

The problem with DMOZ is they don't update frequently (volunteer editors) nor do they keep a very accurate list of directories and search engines.
I did find a few good directories on dmoz... but not many.
