Search for SWISH (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...G=Google+Search). It is an application that can create Flash files, but is a lot easier to use. Is that what you mean?

Thanks for letting me know about swish. Actually, I didn't explain what I needed very well. I would like to modify a web content manager. Right now you can edit your web pages online with the content manager, but you have to use HTML in the text box. I want it to be a rich text editor. I have looked at many WYSIWYG editors including FCK Edit and HTMLarea but all these are JavaScript based and only work with a few browsers. I want it to work with virtually all browsers which is why I am looking for a Flash product.

if you head to www.downloads.com and do a search for free flash editors, you get quite a few WYSIWYG editors...

Hi~
It's nice seeing someone else working in this problem.... That's a GREAT work (a component used in a fancy guestbook) I found from a Chinese web site~ http://pycstock.cjb.net/flash-db/NewMessage.swf |

Is that what you are finding?
But I am now very annoying........ I want to allow people posting images in my flash forum.... and I want to let them have the preview instantly in the textfield..... But the problem is that I don't know how to load a picture dynamically in a textfield via actionscript~ I know I can load it by using a textfield with "HTML" enabled, but that's not what I want.... Do I have any alternatives? |

I spent quite a bit of time and effort looking and finally concluded that no good solution currently exists.
I posted a question in the flash forums and got back some very useful information: http://forums.devshed.com/t142791/s.html Paladin Said: Quote:
So I have concluded that it can be done but it would be a very big project. And hey, if anyone was interested in having such a tool developped, I wouldn't mind splitting the cost! In the mean time, you may wish to check out a JAVA product: http://www.hexidec.com/ekitdemo.php It is ugly but very functional. |

im looking for the exact same thing. kinda like ekit or devedit, BUT it must work in ALL browsers, which kinda rules out anything dhtml based because macs suck at stuff like that. and java is slow as hell, so forget that. my only solution is a flash based html wysiwyg editor.
anyone find anything? |
