I'm a music instructor, and I want to make a little site to put on my flyers, for curious people to go to, and listen to my work and whatnot. But I don't want the music to be able to be saved to their computer. Is this possible?
I don't even know if I'm in the right section, If I'm not, I'm very sorry. Anyone have any ideas on how I can do this? Thanks alot! -Desolateways |

This section is close enough.
There are lots of scripts out there for disabling right-click, which most people will use to save mp3s. Like this one This is generally not good practice though because of an almost infinite amount of reasons. If someone knows how things work well enough, then they can get around this with a little bit of work. There's really no sure-fire way to protect things yet on web pages. There are just always so many ways around it. Hope that helps though. |

To the thread starter: Quite simply, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop people taking your content. If you post content of any sort, be it text, pics, pdfs, music, whatever on the web, then it automatically becomes fair game to everyone else out there. I you want to keep stuff private, either put it in secured directories on your site, or don't upload it at all.
