Map graphic
Can anyone tell me where I can get a nice, basic map of the US? What I want is a map of the US, not including anything outside the US borders, and with no markings except for state boundary lines. The map that I want would be very much like the one on this page: http://www.microtelinn.com/hotel%20...y/directory.asp. Can anyone tell me where I can get / create / generate a map like this?

Find a image of a map and then use a imagemap program to make areas of the map linked to wharever URL you want.
Get your imagemap program from http://www.tucows.com
It is easier than to looks try it and good luck

That's actually what I was asking -- where to get a suitable map image.

If you don't mind paying for one you could try www.mapresources.com
I'm still trying to find a nice freebie one though. Most of the clipart sites are pretty cack when it comes to maps.

This may be obvious, but if you're OK with Illustrator or even Photoshop, can't you just trace that original map that you liked and recreate it to suit your own needs? It shouldn't be tough, especially since you only want the state markings, and no topographical representations or anything.

prospero, thanks for the link, I'll check that out. I have found some decent free ones (not as nice as I would like to have found though), if you want I can post links to those.
dsknkt, not obvious enough for me. I guess I could do that, though it seems like it would be kind of difficult, more work than I'd like to have to put into it.
Just for the record, the map that I linked to, and others I've found would be great for my project, but I don't want to steal someone else's work, that's why I'd like to find just a basic, blank map that I can use as a basis to create something myself.
