MPEG video is not uploading!?
I have inherited a website that needs a video be shown there... My problem is that it won't upload to the host. When I click upload files in the host, it gives me error...Is this too big or is there something I am not doing right? The video is MPEG video and is 31833kb. This is my first time trying to use a video in a website so I am a total newbie at it!!!
More info: The website is done in FrontPage 2000 so I made a link to the video file so when the customers click on the word CLICK HERE, they should see the video. The video was a DVD and there was some chapters on it that needed to go in one page of website and other chapters had to got to another page so I used a software called 1click DVD Ripper to seperate the chapters (I have 2 movies and ther other is 23694kb). As you can see I am not sure I am doing it right...Can someone walk me through it or give me some insights as how to get this thing to work??? Thanks |

31MB is a very large file to upload - your host probably has some limitations on file sizes. You may too have a limit of storage space on your hosts servers!
Are you using FTP to upload?

Do I need to use FTP? The host (Yahoo) has "upload files" that I used to browse and upload. I even used FrontPage to publish the pages and it is not uploading.
Last night I reduced the size of the movies to 12MB and 10MB. Are they still too big? What else do I need to do? Thanks. |

If you are using free account, storage is 15MB.
As far as I am aware, they don't support FrontPage, and the total upload can be up to 5MB!! |

No it is not free account. They pay monthly fee for it. It has 50 MB of disk space and 20 GB/month of data transfer. So I see that might just cut it. They do support FrontPage and I have loaded up rest of the pages fine...
Thanks again. |
