Multi-language site

Hello all,
this is my first post here, so here goes:
This summer I'll be redesigning a site that has to be readable in three languages.
Which option do you prefer and why:
  • splash screen with language option
  • option to switch language on every page
2 example URL's:
URL
or
URL
If you have any tips on how to implement this more efficiently I'd love to hear them...
Thanks in advance,
Erwin.

I think the option to switch the language on every page would be the way to go. That way if someone was refered to a page on your site, that wasn't your splash page, they could still change the language.

But... you could do both.

I would go for both. As dusty said, you should have the option on every page, but I think a splash type page or intro would be good too - makes a bit of a statement.
