Does anyone know how to make glossy transparent images? Or know of a program that can do this? I've tried several programs and can't seem do it. Since everyone I've talked to calls this effect something different, I've uploaded an sample image for all to see...so you know what I'm talking about. The image is available at http://www.twcfan.com/glossy.jpg.
If you notice on the part where is says the ski conditions, you can see the mountains in the background. Does anyone know how this effect is done? I have a friend who did it (so I know the average person can do it), but he's not good at explaining it to me. If anyone can help, please do!!!

Photoshop (there may be others as well) gives you the ability of placing different images on different layers and specifying different levels of opacity for each layer. Once you have the desired effect, you just flatten the image and save it to whatever format you need.
