Need to add mpeg-4 files to website
I have been given mpeg-4 files that are short interview segments with audio and video. I want to add these mpegs to a website but am confused about the file format? Each mpeg-4 file is about 5mbs. That seems too big for a website. They automatically launch in Quicktime in a new window but is there a way to make the mpeg smaller? I have a strong background in graphic design and keep trying to equate mpegs with jpegs. Is there any similarities in terms of specifying a compression. I have tried opening and exporting out of Quicktime Pro but loose the sound. I have FInal Cut Pro but am really a newbie.
Thank you |

If you want a quick and dirty solutions, Import them in flash mx... It has a great compression engine and you can make a preloader, so that people know how long they have to wait...
