Page Fonts
I've only just noticed
that the viewer of a webpage has to have the fonts used installed on their pc in order for them to display correctly. Is their away around this apart from stating the fonts used and offering thme for download? I know that another way is to use an image, but this is a bit to akward. I would really appreciate any help at all. |

That seems to be a very big problem. There was in the CSS 2.0 specification an ability to embed a font, but I believe that was removed for the 2.1 specification. If all you want is to have a special font for some headings, I would recommend sIFR. It uses flash, but has very few drawbacks.
I believe Microsoft has a proprietary way to embed a font for IE only. I don't have any information on that because I wouldn't recommend it. If you want to use a special font for all the text, I'm not sure how you would do this.

Thanks, I'm not sure what I am going to do, but i will look into it. Do you know if there is anyway to 'skip back' to css 2.0?

Offer an alternative:
Code:
p {
font: normal 1em "Trebuchet MS", tahoma, verdana, serif;
}
