You can use Joomla or Drupal for these aims. Visit official websites of these engines to analyze everything carefully and compare their functionality and possibilities.

Please give ideas.. (help choose a CMS)

Well, this is a good question if you are going to develop a website using a CMS platform. So as per my knowledge Wordpress is most used and highly recommended CMS platform. It has the vast developer community as well as lots of free themes.

Check out these two sources to know Wordpress statistics:

I keep hearing that Joomla or Drupal are better if you want to have registered users. Apparently WordPress is better for simpler sites but can't quite handle users very well.

I am not sure why so many people are recommending it for this purpose when it's probably the 1 use-case it would be bad for.

Because those people haven't used WordPress for a few years and don't know how it's evolved.

I use WordPress every day, and it will do everything that's asked for in here (with a couple of well-known and well-tested plugins).

Is it the right tool for every job? No. But I still don't see anyone on here saying the right thing - Try each one yourself and see which works best for your use case. Without doing that it's always impossible to say what's "best" for anyone.

    Hi
I think on this sort of forum you kinda have to look at the reputations, bans and warnings that people have had to try to work out who is likely to be giving the best advice.

I would suggest you to go with wordpress. WordPress is one of the most easy and trendy content management systems that offer comprehensive solutions in developing blogs and blog-based websites with ease. The easy-to-use feature and the robustness of WordPress have made it the most commonly chosen platform in building websites that empower your business.
