Pseudo Streaming & Decissions.
Hello.
I'm a newbie at web design. I need to put a video in a web page, my problem is that the video owner doesn't want people to download the video... he wants them to be able to look at it, but not save it afterward. Anyway... paying for a real streaming capable server is out of the question, so my question is: Can this can be done with pseudo streaming?, and if it's possible please point me in the right direction (I have rented some web space... I don't "own" the server). One last thing; this video is in VCD son I'll have to make the necessary conversions before I upload it, what format do you recommend me? .mov? .mpeg? .wmv? another? Thanks. |

To only be able view the video without saving or streaming I would say is impossible. Perhaps someone else will clarify.
Re your second point, I think MOV format is more cross browser / Operating system, mpeg perhaps, but wmv is windows only. Good luck,.
