Questions about META tags.

Heya, my 30 day trial for homestead is almost up. And soon I will be publishing my webpage for my UT2004 clan.
(56k beware! I havent cut down on the quailty of the images yet...)

Oh ya.. my questions about meta tags.

1) Where should I use them? I should I put them on every single page of my site?

2) What should be in them? Keywords or sentences? If keywords do I have to put different varations of words like...
"Unreal Tourment 2004" and "UnrealTourment 2004."

3) How long should they be?

4) Should I have a different meta tag for each site explaing THAT page or should they all be the same explaining the whole website?

Thanks.

just read

hey, I just read that meta tags are useless? ? ?
http://searchenginewatch.com/webmas...cle.php/2167931
Only the description one is worth using. Why do they use the keywords one? Im guessing because people abuse it to get more traffic?

not really.
To google the keywords meta tag is, they don't consider it for ranking boosts.
However, other SEs do, and many still use them to verify that your content is similar to your keywords(webpage topic). Use them, it still helps you out.

Why don't you use Google?! This is the first result for "meta tags" string:
