Question save txt file in gif format

Hi.
I need to convert a txt file (11 pages or so) to convert to gif file, or any other known picture format.
I tried to use "save as" in word, and force gif format, and also tried to copy all the content into the painter.
But what I get is just the beginning of the content as a picture. The rest is missing. That's the result when I also try to copy the content to power point and save it.
I need a fast, easy and a free tool for it. And if download is not needed, and there r online sites to help doing that, I'll be more than happy.
Thanks

$

Might have to pay for this one. The only thing I know of is:

http://www.informatik.com/tifmaker.html

Which will do the TIFF conversion... you can then convert that using any tool to GIF or JPG.

I know how I'D do it, but it's not free, but easily available at your local Kinko's. Fire up Adobe Illustrator and cut and paste the .txt file into Illustrator and save it as an EPS file(?). You can then use Photoshop, also available at Kinko's, and convert the EPS file into a JPG, GIF, BMP or any other picture format. I'm sure there's an easier way, but this is what I would do with the tools I own.

Kinko's is a copy/office services store. Great company. Go to kinkos.com to find a location near you.

don't you just actually rename the extension of the file?
I'd load up my ftp prog and rename the extension to gif and see if it works. It should work...

You could try to do this... open your text file in whatever program, and do a screen capture. Depending on the program you use for the capture, it'll either put the capture on the clipboard or else save it whereever. Then open it in a graphics program, crop out the stuff you don't need, and save it as a .gif. If you don't have a graphics program, dl a trial of Paint Shop Pro or something. Check tucows.com or shareware.com too.

Jeff

Why would you want to?

Why in the world would you want to save 11 pages of text as a GIF. Maybe there is a better way of doing this if we new what you were trying to accomplish.
