Setting preferences on Netscape for Unix (Solaris)

I need to edit my preferences, but I cant find the preferences.js file anywhere. Preference configuration seems to be different in NS7.

Can anyone help?

You don't have a "preferences..." choice under the "Edit" menu? Interesting. Are you familiar with soliaris? If you're sure the file is called preferences.js you can try searching for it at a command prompt.

> find / -name "preferences.js" -print

i do have a preferences under edit. but i want to edit the advanced preferences that are not listed there such as network.http.max-connections, etc.

the preferences.js under ~/.netscape does not seem to make any changes. in previous versions of netscape it was called preferences.js..but it seems like it changed now

Gotcha. Hmmm, it's been years since I used Solaris. Have you posted this in the Unix forum?
