Site image stretch with length of page - please help!

Hi all,

Right basiclly this is what im trying to do.

Im re designing my site and i want it to auto stretch height ways down the page with the more info i add to it. This works already, however when the page stretches the borders and nav images stay the same size and dont stretch to therefore the page looks a mess.

An example of what i mean is: http://www.briskfire.com/index.php?page=helpme

As you can see, the images dont stretch as well.

This is my site when the text inside it isnt causing the tables to stretch: www.briskfire.com

At the minute im been forced to use Iframes, which are annoying and untidy in my opinion. So basicly all i want is for my site to auto stretch height ways with the layout staying the same and the images that make the site layout stretch as well.

I have a good knowledge with both dreamweaver and photoshop.

I have an idea, that it could be done in the following way. Slice a 750px wide (width of site) and 1px height slice into the template on photoshop.

I have done a screenshot of this at: http://www.briskfire.com/siteslice.JPG

Then after that open the page up in dreamweaver and set that 750x1 px slice to autostretch at 100% height. Is this right? or is there another way or easier way to do this?

Thanks for help guys i appriciate it, lookin forward to reading your replys.

If you want my opinion I would say you have chosen a "nightmare" page layout if that is what you want to do with it. Any time you attempt to stretch graphics you are asking for trouble. Looking at your design that stays in one piece I would maybe try and switch to CSS to specify left border 3px grey and right border 1px black and you would get a similar effect. You could even keep the graphic as a top or bottom border but as long as the side borders were specified with CSS then it should stretch. Just my thoughts.

i done it now

Ive done it now, made a complicated table with cells on dreamweaver and then included the images and set the 138px wide by 1px height to background image in its own cell and it outo stretches. New site will be up as soon as ive coded it with php and mysql.

Check it out in a few weeks at www.briskfire.com
