URL Validation -

Okay,
I'm all set to build a fairly basic website for a company. The ISP has setup everything they are supposed to (an FTP server for me, and a database)...however, when I go to the url that the site is supposed to be on, it says that it doesn't exist. The ISP have claimed that EVERYTHING is good to go on their end, and that it is my job to ensure 'the url is valid and pointing to the right spot'. What do i need to do????

you have to get the DNS records from your webspace provider.
Then in your domain management area you need to direct your domain to the webhost using the DNS provided.

If this website is being hosted by your isp and you are paying them then you might be within your rights to demand they send you there DNS settings. But first read the fine print, as it may mention something you were previously unaware of??

If the place you got the domain name from has a redirect service you might also want to use that..
