Web Designing
What is the best way to go about web(page) designing? How do you come up with an eye appealing product?

Well, coming up with an appealing product and a design are two entirely different things! Do you already have a product that you want to center a page around, for instance?
The best way to come up with design ideas (I think) is to just poke around the web looking at a whole mess of different sites. Find what you like, be it one design or small parts of many designs, then start coding! Incorporate things you see and make similar designs. From some template sites, you even legally and morally take the design. I don't recommend doing that because then what you create isn't actually YOUR creation. If you have a product, let's say "widgets", just do a Google search for widgets and look at all the pages selling widgets. Do you like what you see? Do you dislike them? What would you change about what you dislike? That sort of thing. Good luck! Chris

Sorry about the confusion, but when I said products, I meant the finished web site. I have a hard time finding web sites by design. How do you locate well-designed web sites?

http://www.worldbestwebsites.com/ is one. Google for "best websites", "top websites", etc, etc...
BrainJar is a good place for info and ideas. PositionIsEverything is another good idea palace. Just poke around! Chris |
