If you want to design your website firstly you know about the designing tools like photoshop, dreamweaver,html/css etc and after that you develop your website by php,javascript etc.

welcome. You will find many great resources here regarding web development and programming. I personally highly recommend beginners NOT use dreamweaver as most who do never truely learn html or css as they rely on the GUI IDE to do it for them. and Dreamweaver is known for causing compatibility issues across some browsers.

I do everything in linux so i use the GNU Image Manipulation Tool or GIMP which is free and very comparable to photoshop. I would suggest getting a good syntax highlighting ascii editor and start with learnin HTML/CSS maybe some JavaScript then when you want to do dynamic sites learn either PHP/MySql or ASP/MsSql

Iv become quite a devshed-a-holic lately. Think i might need rehab for forumers. Logged in for 1 day and 6 hours and been a member for 12 days. So approximately 10% of my past 2 weeks has been here on devshed
