WebSite Charges
Someone from a mortgage company wants me to update and redesign a few things on his current website. I have no idea what I should charge him. Hourly? By the job?
Any input or advice? What the going rate is? |

If you're redesigning, charge by the project. Put together an outline stating what you will be doing, what's included and covered in the project, and a price for those things. Mention, in writing of course, that any deviation from what's written will result in a change to the project price. Get a signature on this project outline.
When determining the price, try to figure out how long it will take you, then multiple by what you feel your time and skill set is worth. If it's just changes, go hourly. Again, it's all about what your time is worth.
