Website page behaving like a desktop
I stumbled across this website.
the URL is www.beautifulpeople.net . Once the website loads, two windows open up asking for a login and then a little teaser window of what the website offers. The thing is that these two windows behave as if they were on a desktop. Meaning you can move them around and position them in different places on the screen. How was this accomplished? Tables for layout. Ugly deprecated code. Nasty markup - and it tells me "BeautifulPeople.net is only supported by Internet Explorer."
This is not a cool site. I'd hazard a guess that the technique you've seen in action is Iframes using some Microsoft Only Javascript stuff: http://view-source:http://www.beaut.../main_shared.js Disgusting. |

It is one of those sites that looks fancy but completly pointless.
