What HTML editor really help?

Can any body suggest HTML editor, free to download, with
some interactive behavior (javascript) support? Thanks a lot!

edwin, I think he's talking about something more along the lines of Frontpage or Dreamweaver, both of which I do not recommend.

I mostly use Metapad, but you are probably looking for something with more features.

Well he specified a free program, and neither of those would fit anyway. Is Metapad different, I have never heard of it.

I just use EditPad with colors ... It seems to work nicely

If you want a free wysiwyg html editor, HTML Kit is an excellent one.

Personally I'm text editor gal and I use Scite. It takes a bit to set up-documentation on the website is minimal but there are other sources.
It has all the features I like (syntax highlighting based on file type, indentation, auto-complete, macros, etc). It doesn't have javascript interactivity that I've found, but it does have PHP parsing so you can debug w/o starting your server. I believe it has support for debugging other languages as well, but I've not used that yet.
