Whats it missing?

Ive just redone the layout/design on my site http://2ndrevolution.co.uk and i just wanted to know what you all thought, its it missing anything or got a little to much.

well,

what is this site all about? i get that it is some sort of community, but a brief description would be nice.
the table cells behave somewhat strangely when making the browser window smaller ....

it just a sort of general whats there is there, no real theame, just a site with stuff thats interesting. And thats quite strange the tables, ive never noticed before any ideas why??

then you need to indicate that somewhere. I had no idea what I was looking at when I got there. you have to be careful when making a general site...they can easily become cluttered and confusing.
