which is better -set width or varying width
Hello,
I was just wondering which is better (or if it doesn't matter) - fixed width or varying width for a page? Right now my page does not have a set width (I did this on purpose) so it will resize to fit the browser. I just don't know if this is considered optimal, or if I should make the page a set width so that it doesn't look too wide or spread out on a maximized browser for large monitors. Any opinions? Thanks!

Generally speaking, variable width is better (if it's done correctly), because it comes closer to giving everyone the same experience, whatever their resolution. If done well, though, fixed width is acceptable (and, honestly, what I tend to lean towards).
