Wndows Media Player IE 6
Does anyone know how to get .wmv files that are sent as links to stop openning in Internet Explorer? I just want them to open as the stand alone player. Using Windows Media Player version 9.

Click on the media icon on the internet explorer toolbar. The media player docking station will appear.
Just above the play button there is a button that says Media Options, if you click on this a drop down menu will appear - if you go down to settings a sub-menu will appear on the right, untick the first two selections and tick the bottom one. Close down ie and the media docking station, go to a website and click a WMV link - it should ask you how you want to play it - in ie or standalone player ![]() |
