Wink What are the cons of uploading a whole website on .jpg and use hotspots to navigate?

Just one question, instead of using lots of HTML and CSS why not just publish my website on plain .jpg and use hotpots to navigate through the menu? Anyone?

Well just some issues I could see would be that a slow loading/non-loading image would result in a barely/non-working website. Also it would be poor modularity in the sense that if you wanted to add/remove something you would have to change the .jpg which would mean pretty much changing the whole site. And finally I just think it wouldnt look very clean and intuitive.

Unless Im just not understansing the idea of this.

    Just to name a few:
    * The site would be completely invisible to search engines
    * The site would be completely incompatible with screen readers for the blind
    * Visitors could not select text
    * Visitors could not zoom in or out on text
    * You would not be able to use forms of any sort to collect information
    * You would not be able to have any sort of dynamic interaction or dynamic content
    * Printing the page would use a huge amount of ink
    * Bandwidth usage would be incredibly high
    * The site would look terrible on mobile devices
