I would like to add an interactive image to my site, (it'll be easier to explain the image)

I'm looking to have a picture of a house extension, with a series of options, via buttons, to show either 1 window or 2 windows, then pitched roof or flat roof, etc

nothing too fancy, just basically have a background image, then when the button is picked, it'll show over the top a window, or roof.

I'm not having much look googling a tutorial because i'm not too sure what it comes under.

don't want to use flash as I want it visible on the Ipad too.
