All you need to do is create a folder in the directory on the server where the http (or https) root is. In that folder put another index.htm, index.html, index.asp, index.php or whatever your default index page is. You shouldn't need help from your host to do this, you can do it in FTP.

At IIS, please add www.yourdomain.com on your binding. About your subdomain, you can add them on Control Panel. Please contact your hosting provider to ask help. :-)

In my opinion if you have no much more knowledge about html, php and ftp then you can contact your hosting provider. They will help you.
