Page 2 - Any recommendations for a web host?

It's not worth the hassle, I say. It might work for a small personal site, but if you have a site that a lot people will visit, it's worthe $5-$25 a month to put the responsibility of keeping the site up on someone else's shoulders, someone who has a lot of experience and the facilities to keep your site up and running.

My current host is Hostway. They aren't the cheapest, but they do host a lot of web sites and is always ranked pretty high. The cheapest plan that includes a database is around $20 a month. I know there are cheaper ones out there, but I like big companies and would rather spend more in hopes that it will be more reliable and experienced, but that's just me.

or, look up a host in a directory and look at their rating, uptime, customer testimonials, history, number of servers, etc.
