Any recommendations for a web host?

Hi, I have been having trouble with my current web host ever since I started with them (stay away from Catalog.com!!), and I've been searching for a new web host that I can switch to. Essentially what I need is a company that can hold both my domain and webspace. I also need PHP4 and MySQL support.

So it boils down to this: Can anybody recommend any good hosts? Thank you.

EDIT: I found a great web host a while ago, but never updated the thread to reflect that. Hurricane Electric has great pricing and some of the best customer service I have ever come across.

I've been using Tera-byte.com for almost two years now and have had absolutely no complaints. Tech support is incredibly fast (usually I get a response within an hour or two, no matter the time of day), and I have had 99% up-time the entire time.

Under LATEST, download your choice. I use 5.2 Production (.us).

After install run program, login, and goto Pro License and enter

If you have a static IP you are in good shape and need nothing more. Just login and read up on Server Documentation.

If you have a Dynamic IP you will need 2 other things:

1.) URL
and download Bali DynDNS Version 6.42

2.) URL and create an account.

1 is the program to use to update your IP each time you connect.
2 is where your IP is updated and you will setup a domain name (ie: URL <-- the address people will type in to get to your page hosted from your computer.)

Only one problem: many residential ISP's block mail server ports, HTTP service ports, etc., so you may have to configure everything to run on different ports (8080 for HTTP, for example).

Then there's also the problem of reading up on security, etc. You also will have very limited bandwidth, and unless you have a dedicated server, will be using up processor power as well. I'd rather pay a few dollars a month to avoid such hassles.
