Confidentiality
I would like to build a website with a locally controversial message. Is it possible to do so without diclosing my identity? In other words...I would not want ppl knowing who owns or opperates the site.
I know now your probably more interested in the content of such a site, but I cannot say. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

You will find that all hosts will not give out the owners information unless they are legally forced to do so. It is party of their Privacy Polocie. Find a host you like and just confirm that they won't give out your information if asked.

Thank you for your replies. Now, how do I get around the Who-is database?

I suggest that you look at www.domainsatcost.ca they offer a privacy option.

As another suggestion ask your host for private name servers so that people can't trace you back to your host anyways.

ummm
Well, whois email can go to a forwarding option which is like... whoiscustomer10239@yourhost.com which forwards the emails to your real email. <Edited> Last edited by monsterhosting : June 6th, 2004 at 01:00 AM. Reason: advertising |
