Erm, everything looks fine unless you have a wrong password or user, possibly.
I can't be much help. I seriously just have the backups go to a diff hard drive on my same server. However, I'd suggest trying turning off passive mode and see if that helps, make sure the user and password is correct, and check the IP as well. (Sorry for the very limited help) |

What error do you get when running /scripts/cpbackup from the shell?

I think the error is that you have set the backup place to /backup. You have set this as a local drive although you have chose external backups. Remove this. Add the correct directory into "FTP backup directory" add whatever is necessary. Then run /scripts/cpbackup as root.
Tell me what that does |

OK it seems to be working now but when It makes the backups daily it just over-rights the old ones.. so I have to move them before it re-backs up
Thanks for the help |

Daily backups will automatically overwrite yesterdays backups, otherwise your server would be filled in not time
