Dedicated / Virtual Server hosting advice

I am currently using a shared hosting service WHICH is horrible. I have decided i need more control over my sites.

I was looking into a dedicated or virtual server. Anyone have any company reccomendation. I dont want to spend more then 55 a month since i do not make $$ of my sites.

I have looked at www.tera-byte.com and their virtual server which seems like a good idea so far.

I also looked at www.ipowerweb.com and liked their 49.99 plan.

I just want to know if anyone has any other reccomendations. and what should i look for.

i have though of setting up a pc and running a server but getting a separate dsl connection is coming out expensive.

i currently have this
