Domain Masking
I already am payin for hosting and my domain name.
I wanted to know what registrar offers masking For Example: old domain: risrani.com new domain newdomain.com I want newdomain.com to point to risrani.com/~newsite BUT i dont want it to be in a frame nor do i want it to show risrani.com/~newsite as the url. So newdomain.com/exit.php would be risrani.com/~newsite/exit.php Ive seen this done just wanted to know a registar that would allow me to do this.. -ritesh |

This isn't typically a function of the registrar but a function of the webserver itself.
A url rewriting module like mod_rewrite under Apache will make quick work of it... If you don't have access to the configs or a url rewriting module installed, contact your hosting provider, they should be able to set things up for you.... Note that if you're actually switching providers at the same time the redirect will only work as long as you maintain the old account unless your provider is in a particularly good mood when you call ![]() |
