File Download Linking
First off I'd like to say--->>Excellent Forums, thanks.

I dunno where to post this thread, this is where it landed.

I currently have a Domain on a server. I'm looking for another server to link files for download. I'm happy with my existing server but they are just too unreasonable when it comes to upgrades.
Will I need another Domain name on the new server to accomplish this file linking?

Hello

You can use an subdomain to host account at the new hosting place. You need

1. Add a subdomain at the main hosting place.
2. Sign-up for a new hosting account with the subdomain (for example download.your_domain.com) as domain name of your account (Almoust all hosting providers allow it)
3. Point this subdomain to the IP of new hosting account (you need to do it at main hosting account)
