I believe you're hosted with Network Eleven. I used whois.org (well not really; I was redirected to another site that handled .au domains, but a whois lookup service all the same) to find what name servers you were using.

This doesn't always mean you're hosted by them. You could be buying space through a reseller account from someone who is hosted by them (though, I would hope you would have their domain as your DNS). IOW, it's not full-proof.

You may be able to connect and get the HTTP headers returned by the server. Not sure if there is any relative information in there or not. I'd show you that method, but I'm not 100% familiar with it.

Thanx, both sites were very useful. The dnsstuff.com is very cool - the geo-IP thing was something I didn't know was online which I've always wanted to know (I've had credit card fraud on my site in the past and wanted to find out where they came from).

That netgeo utility is neat but not very accurate. I just checked 2 of my IP's and both of the results were not even close. I think this just looks in a database that has been manually created.

Another thing you can do to determine the host is to type the IP of the site into a web browser. Most of the time on shared hosting accounts all the accounts share the same IP. So.. if you type in the IP of the site you will actually goto a default page set by the web host. Thats as long as they dont have their own ip.
