free space?
Hello
Now that "Freedom to surf" have stopped their free webhosting of 20mb sites and deleted two of my non-profit making, non company type sites (lets just say their name again thats "Freedom to surf" - cheapskates) can anyone recommend a space similiar that offers free hosting to about 20mb has php/mysql capabilities and if possible allows you to choose your own site name and just adds something at the end like f2s used to do (www.yoursite.f2s.com). any FREE SPACE suggestions welcome!! thanks in advance Garrett Lynch |

Do not, and I repeat DO NOT use Portland, here's why:
1. Goes down without warning, and stays down for ages.. 2. Your subdomain can't be found for ages... 3. FTP is locked too much and you can't upload files at critical times... 4. Customer service is zero.. they never contact you back... leaving you without a clue why things happen. http://www.free-webmaster-resources.net/hosting.html |

Let's put it this way, the experience with Portland convinced me that paying for a service from another ISP wasn't such a bad thing. Especially seeing as the service I am now on gets problems dealt with (usually for me) within about 20 minutes, very impressive.
