Good Cgi Host Needed
Hi, i have a CGI script i want to run but it uses alot of CPU, any cheap hosting companys around that can support this?

i laughed because your script will probably cause more harm then good for any host that offers you something. If I was the host you were contacting I would be willing to offer you something but depending on how much resources you use would depend on the cost, i.e. i might need to put you on a semi-dedicated plan

all the cheap shared hosts ive used say my script uses about 1/3 - 1/2 CPU on a 2.4Ghz box (duno the rest of the specs) but im running a free online community for WAP users and i cant aford a dedicated server costs.

If you have such a big community that takes up the server then you should be making plenty on Google Adsense alone. If you are not offering it then you should. You would probably be able to pay for a dedicated alone if your community is really that big.

Plus a couple members probably wouldn't mind donating a few bucks a month to your forums.

Good Point, even as a budget host.... we just suspended an account today after using 1-3% of our cpu. We now have 160 clients at 0.30% cpu usage

Google Adsense can definately pay for a dedicated server monthly. One of my websites makes <edited> a month from it! And it pays for the money lost from this months ddos attacks against my server.. ugg

Anyhow, I still suggest ads to pay for a server. No host will want you on their server, no offense
