I have been using Help Center Live have found it to be the best, if you are looking for a free help desk. There are several more, but I can warn you against Crafty Syntax, it was just awefull, so dont bother with it.

Hey,
HelpCenterLive is decent... for helpdesk, we use Kayako. It's $25/month, or $350 owned license.

The script is amazing... easy to work with, and takes in the emails via IMAP from your support/sales/etc... @yourhost.com.

If you have many support staff managing emails, then I would highly suggest this script.

I agree with all of the above. HCL is great for free, but Kayako is by far the better choice if you're willing to spend money.

We use DRAMS. It has everything you need built in
Also, it costs less than Kayako, at just $14.95/month its a real bargain!

We are currently using cPSupport (CPanel Support).

We have them on all our servers at the moment for use with our reseller clients.

It's currently in beta so it is not available for mass use yet

Quite simple but works nicely
