The complexity of this depends on your ISP and your domain registrar (some give more options than others). The goal is to point your domain name to your IP address. If your ISP gives you a static IP (most DSL, not usually cable, never* dial-up), then you should be able to set this up in your registrar's control panel. If not, then you'll need to inlist the help of dyndns.org or no-ip.com to keep your registered IP synced with your actual IP.
This does not take into account any firewalls you may have at your house, which will require some port forwarding.
Additionally, some ISPs block standard ports, like www 80.
