hosting

hello. I need a web hotel with theese specs:

1. loads of space
2. loads of bandwith
3. php, perl
4. mysql
5. cheap domain
6. ftp access
7. email accounts
8. cheap! not so expensive

I've been looking at phpwebhosting (www.phpwebhosting.com) and liquid web (www.liquidweb.com). I've been told that liquid web is very good, but any of you used, or know anything about phpwebhosting? what do you think is the best decission?

do you know any other good, cheap web hotels with the specs listed?

Cheap hosting over Good hosting

I seem to have a problem, I run about 3 sites now. I have two different host that use form my sites. Each one has about the same thing, but price are not the same.

One host is 29.95 a month

the other is 19.95

The cheaper one has more space, and allows park domains

I seem to have alot of problems with the cheap domaim
here are the problems listed


MySQL 2nd week - down for 1 day...
pop3 and smtp didnt work for 2 weeks
site down - 48 hours, they said they were hack

PHP seem to work alot different from my other host

connection
behavor
speed

If you can, $30 is a good price, anything cheaper you will find problems. Anyone who offers everything like more space, bandwidth or anything great, "ISNT SO GREAT."

Now on your problem, there are two hosts I'd consider for my needs, one www.wantsomegetsome.net another www.liveplanets.com see if you like them. If not, check out www.hostindex.com and try to search.

or try goin on

i use verve (http://www.vervehosting.com)

100megs of disk space, php4.0, 3 mysql databases (unlimited size for the database), perl support, $10 bucks a month. they have other plans, too.

Pete, thats a quite good deal! Just add $8/yr for domain from godaddy.com and you're all set

Another one is palmversa.com. But I am going to have to check out the phpwebhosting site. It looked interesting.

Onslaught, I am looking at palmversa.com, and I am not able to find any info on their policy about contents of the site, do you know anything about that? I was going to ask on their forum, but then thought you might know..

No, sorry about that, but I am unsure about that. This is one of the hosting sites that I have been researching. I am considering hosting a site, but haven't chosen a host as of yet. They seemed to have pretty reasonable stats, but as far as content, I do not know.
If you get a reply from thier forum, let me know and I will check out thier response also.

If you want a good, reliable, fully controlable, web site, I suggest you take a look at www.pair.com.

Their systems run freebsd. all sites I have create and host there, have an average of uptime more than 99%. Also servers with a very fast response.

I think pair is the best. In my opinion, experience and support with them.

Onslaught, policy is the same as everywhere else: no pr0n no warez no cracks etc
