Hosting on PC through Road Runner
I'm trying to use my pc as a server but it doesn't seem to escape the road runne router, I've tried 80 and 8080, anyone out there solve said problem on their pc?
Also we have a wireless hub thing set up, (home portal) , it gives a "public" ip address for the computer you're using as a server, do you put this address in the apache httpd config? or the computers local ip address 172.etc... ? |

try setting up port forwarding on your router/switch/modem to forward port 80 to your servers local 'public' IP address.
then, by accessing your routers/modems IP, you should be forwarded to your server. and just add another port forward for each service you need to. |

do you have a special IP, username and password to access your router? For instance, on mine, I can type in 192.168.0.1 and get a user/pass login and then can configure my router setup.
Check your manual, there is usually instructions in there, else, try googling... |
