Hosting recommendations - online editor a must
Hi,
I have a hobby site with Yahoo right now - I want to incorporate a serious bulletin board system, and that means either Perl or SQL support (or PHP?), which Yahoo charges too much for.
My problem is I'm seriously hooked on Yahoo's browser-based file editor, plus I work from a bunch of different machines so editing offline and then FTPing the finished files isn't practical at all.
I've checked out PowWeb, IX Webhosting, HostExcellence and LunarPages so far, and it didn't seem like any of them had a browser-based editor. I saw "copy, delete, manage files" a lot, but not "edit".
So, two questions:
1) Does CPanel have a file-editing feature that I'm just not seeing in the demos?
2) If not, could someone recommend me a host who offers a 2GB storage, 2+ free domains, PHP/Perl/SQL-friendly, browser-based-file-editor-providing package for $10 a month or so? Transfer capacity doesn't matter much as my site gets very light traffic.
Thanks in advance,
J
